If you are looking to add a Turntable to an existing amplifier you might find that you need a Phono Preamplifier.
This is where the DJ-Pre comes in. Offering variable gain to ensure perfect volume matching, also featuring selective cartridge loading to get the ideal match with the cartridge you are using.
Simply plug your turntable into the JD-Pre and with a pair of high quality leads to connect the audio output to a spare AUX input on the back of your amplifier and it's ready to use!
The DJ-Pre is a compact phono preamplifier that allows a turntable to be connected to an amplifier or pair of active speakers. The output from a standard turntable is much lower than that of a CD layer for example so the signal needs to be "boosted" by a preamplifier, if you don't use one you will find there is almost no volume from your turntable even when you turn your amplifier up to MAX (which you certainly should not do !)
The DJ-Pre is also much higher quality that most preamplifiers you would find included inside an amplifier, so the DJ-Pre is a nice cost-effective upgrade.
