Audio Technica AT-VM95EN Elliptical Nude Stereo Cartridge
The AT-VM95EN features a Nude Elliptical Diamond stylus. Its construction, with a one-piece diamond and round shank inserted in the cantilever, creates a lighter and more rigid transmission system compared to a diamond tip bonded on a round titanium shank, as seen in the AT-VM95E. While the use of a nude diamond implies a substantial price difference, the quality of reproduction is immediately noticeable, particularly in the fidelity of high frequencies and the quality of transient responses.
VM95 Series - Styli Compatibility Every cartridge's diamond stylus wears out over time. Approximately 500 hours for a conical stylus, 300 hours for an Elliptical stylus, 1000 hours for a Microlinear stylus, and 800 hours for a Shibata stylus.
The VM95 Series dual-moving magnet cartridges can be used almost indefinitely by replacing the interchangeable stylus. You no longer need to purchase a complete cartridge when your diamond is worn out; you can simply buy the matching replacement stylus or even upgrade your cartridge with a different stylus.
All six models of VM95 Series cartridges use the same electromagnetic engine-body, making each of the six replacement styli perfectly compatible:

AT-VM9E Series Compatibility with the AT-XP Series DJ Cartridges The electromagnetic engine-body of the XP-Series is fully compatible with all replacement styli of the VM95 Series and delivers more output voltage than the VM95 Series cartridge, improving compatibility with phono inputs of Professional DJ Mixers.
The VM95 Series suspension design and compliances have been optimised for optimum audiophile reproduction, whereas the XP-Series styli's suspension design and compliance are tailored for intensive DJ'ing, including possible manual cueing and back-cueing.
Elliptical Nude Stylus The Elliptical diamond stylus follows the groove modulation with greater precision compared to a conical stylus, offering improved frequency and phase responses while reducing distortion.
No Use of Nuts VM95 Series cartridges feature two M2.6 threaded inserts, allowing installation onto a tonearm or removable headshell without the need for nuts. Each cartridge comes with one pair of 8mm M2.6 screws, one pair of 11mm M2.6 screws, and two plastic washers.
