The Auralic Altair G1 is the first complete streamer with DAC in the range.
Controlled using the proprietary Lightning DS app, which is not only pleasing to the eye it is extremely user friendly, allowing easy navigation of your own music collection or one of the streaming service.
The G1 is certainly feature packed, offering Network playback of locally stored music from either NAS drives or USB flash drives, support for streaming services such as Qobuz and Tidal (more expected soon) and Vtuner internet radio. It also offer Apple Airplay support and Bluetooth playback. There are also digital connections via USB, Optical, Coaxial Digital and AES Digital.
The Altair G1 has a high quality headhphone amplifier and can be used as a preamplifier directly into a power amplifier or an active pair of speakers, or as a source component with a fixed level output.
The Altair G1 features a 4" full-colour display that shows the album artwork beautifully, along with the sample rate of the audio you are playing and the time played in the track.
The unit is fully Roon Ready and works exceptionally well are a Roon endpoint.
It supports the very highest of file formats with native support for DSD512 at 32bit 384Khz.
Want to rip your existing CD collection? With the Altair G1 you can ! simply connect a suitable USB hard drive and using the built-in controller the Auralic will rip the CD to a storage destination of your choice (NAS or USB).
At the heart of the Altair G1 is a superbly accurate signal clock accurate to 72 Femto seconds (that 72 Quadrillionth of a second). This ensures that the audio signal is in perfect sink to deliver the very best performance. Coupled with the built-in linear power supply meant that the Altair G1 delivery is inky black with tremendous scale, sound stage and detail.
