ORGANIC SHAPE: The asymmetrical Lute shape, inspired by nature, contributes to the Olympica Nova III's unique acoustic performance. The absence of flat and parallel walls enhances enclosure performance, and the circular spiral motion in the design achieves a more organic cabinet structure. The reflex duct is seamlessly integrated, improving speed and sound transparency.
WOOD: Crafted with walnut or wengé hand-finished natural wood, the front baffle and top rest on a solid die-cast aluminum plate. This homage to Sonus Faber's iconic material showcases the brand's commitment to excellence.
TWEETER: The 28mm silk dome tweeter employs DAD™ technology for enhanced high-frequency smoothness and extension. The redesigned DAD™ structure, with a solid aluminum die-cast, strengthens accuracy and system stability.
CROSSOVER: Paracross Topology™ minimizes sensitivity to interference, improving transient response and lowering the noise floor. Exclusive Clarity Cap capacitors, customized for Sonus faber, contribute to an optimized filtering topology.
MIDRANGE: The midrange, developed in Sonus faber laboratories, features an air-dried blend of cellulose pulp, kapok, and kenaf. This natural process yields a diaphragm with a slightly rough surface, damping resonances for natural sound, transparency, and detail.
WOOFER: The woofer cone, developed in collaboration with Kurtmueller, utilizes a sandwich construction with cellulose pulp layers and a hi-tech syntactic foam layer. This construction ensures low mass, high rigidity, and tonal coherence with the midrange.
