Audio Technica AT618a Disc Stabiliser
The AT618a disc stabiliser is compatible with most of Audio-Technica's range of turntables. It fits over the turntable’s centre spindle to securely hold the record in place, reducing resonance and enhancing sound quality. Additionally, it can help flatten records that are bowed. Constructed of machined brass with a protective rubber cover, the stabiliser ensures durability and effectiveness.
Compatibility Note
We do not recommend using the AT618a disc stabiliser with the AT-LP60X (all variants), the AT-LP2X, and the AT-LP3. However, all other Audio-Technica turntables currently available are compatible with this stabiliser.
Maximum Weight and Construction
Weighing 600g, the AT618a is the maximum weight that Audio-Technica's compatible turntables have been tested with. While there are heavier stabilisers on the market, we cannot recommend them for use with Audio-Technica turntables at this time. The AT618a is crafted to provide optimal performance, featuring a sturdy construction of machined brass with a protective rubber cover.
Not Suitable for Suspended Sub-Chassis Turntables
The AT618a is not suitable for use with turntables featuring a suspended sub-chassis design. If you are uncertain whether your turntable employs this construction type, we advise consulting the manufacturer of your turntable. It's worth noting that no Audio-Technica turntables utilize a suspended sub-chassis.
