Reference Preamplification
Serving as our reference preamplifier, the P30A holds the pivotal role of controlling the power amplifier with a signal that remains true to the essence of the music. We believe the preamplifier to be the most critical component in achieving a great sounding system, yet it is also the most challenging to perfect. The delicate nature of the very low amplitude signals originating from the source demands profound technical expertise and astute engineering to maintain signal integrity throughout the preamplification process.
Engineering Precision
To achieve this, we employ single pair FET transistors renowned for their absence of higher-order harmonic distortion. While variations within a batch of transistors are normal, even slight deviations are unacceptable for sensitive electronics like ours. Consequently, our founder and chief engineer, Bent, meticulously measures and matches transistors with identical values, ensuring precise performance crucial for delivering a smooth and natural sound without compromising detail.
Innovative Design
The internal layout is meticulously designed to minimise signal paths, keeping them as short as possible to reduce the risk of distortion from electrical interference. Furthermore, we streamline the signal path, limiting it to just two transistors and an ultra-low noise volume attenuator, preserving signal purity. The P30A also benefits from Hegel's patented SoundEngine technology, actively monitoring and correcting music signals for intermodulation distortion in real-time.
Balanced Design
The P30A boasts full balanced operation throughout, featuring two separate amplifiers, volume controls, and SoundEngine modules per channel. This design effectively cancels out residual distortion, resulting in a signal that faithfully reproduces the original source material.
Versatile Connectivity
Offering a comprehensive array of inputs and outputs, the P30A features two balanced (XLR) and three unbalanced (RCA) inputs, along with a fixed level Home Theatre input for seamless integration. Active balanced (XLR) and unbalanced (RCA) variable outputs allow for multiple device connections simultaneously. Additionally, the P30A includes a 3.5mm IR-direct input and a 12V trigger output connector, enhancing its versatility and compatibility with various audio systems.
Delivery is made by common carrier next working day. Delivery is FREE for orders in-stock and over £100 or £9.99 for orders less than £100 or special delivery items.
