The Tascam 202MKVII is a versatile and reliable dual-well cassette deck designed for professional use across various settings, including karaoke bars, sports centres, town halls, civic and community centres, schools, libraries, and even authorities like police departments or civil defence for audio storage or backup purposes.
Dual-Well Cassette Deck
Featuring two decks capable of recording, the 202MKVII allows simultaneous creation of two masters from the same source. It offers a wide frequency range, ensuring excellent sonic performance for various applications.
Convenient Features
The deck is equipped with a range of convenient features, including an RTZ function, repeat playback, and the ability to adjust pitch and tempo during playback for karaoke or sports applications. A microphone input on the front panel facilitates spontaneous recording, while a pre-listening function aids in preparing the next song on one deck while the other is playing.
Playback Modes
The 202MKVII offers both "Special" and "Normal" playback modes. In "Special" mode, you can listen to one tape with headphones while the other tape plays back via the line outputs, facilitating cueing to the next track without interrupting playback. In "Normal" mode, both decks' playback signals are output from the line outputs and headphones output simultaneously.
Switchable Noise Reduction
A switchable noise reduction function is available to reduce hiss during cassette playback, particularly effective when used with cassettes recorded with Dolby B noise reduction. Note that the noise reduction function is only applicable during playback.
Microphone Input and Mixing Function
The front panel features a microphone input with level control for announcements or karaoke. With the mixing function, you can mix the microphone signal with cassette playback or an input signal and record it to either deck. Additionally, you can adjust the playback pitch and tempo of Deck 1 by ±12%, ideal for karaoke or sports applications.
USB Output for Digital Archives
Unlike many other cassette decks, the 202MKVII is equipped with a USB output, allowing you to create digital archives of tape material using recording software on a Windows or Mac computer. Audio can be captured at sampling rates from 8 kHz to 48 kHz and 8/16-bit resolution.
Parallel Recording and Dubbing
You can simultaneously record audio from an externally connected device to both cassettes in Deck 1 and Deck 2, facilitating the creation of master tapes and distribution or backup copies simultaneously. The deck also offers a dubbing function for easy duplication of existing cassettes.
Delivery is made by common carrier next working day. Delivery is FREE for orders in-stock and over £100 or £9.99 for orders less than £100 or special delivery items.

Please note that you must return each item in the same condition in which you received it. This means that new items must be returned new, unused and complete (including all accessories). Refunds for returned items that are not received in this condition, may be reduced.
