Audio Technica VM520EB/H Dual Moving Magnet Stereo Cartridge with Headshell
The Audio Technica VM520EB/H features a standard elliptical stylus model with an elliptical bonded stylus, reducing tracing distortion and enhancing sound reproduction accuracy. Pre-assembled with a lightweight aluminium AT-HS10 headshell, this setup offers users a hassle-free installation experience.
Internationally-Patented Dual Magnet Design
Audio-Technica’s patented Dual Magnet design replicates the structure of the cutter head. Unlike using a single, large magnet, the two magnets are arranged in a "V" shape, precisely positioned to match the left and right channels in the stereo groove walls. This design ensures exceptional channel separation, extended frequency response, and superior tracking.
Para-toroidal Generating System
Para-toroidal coils enhance generating efficiency and provide superb linearity by minimizing magnetic flux leakage in the continuous and unitised magnetic circuit. Additionally, the permeability of the cores is optimised through the use of laminated cores.
Centre Shield Plate for Reduced Crosstalk
A permalloy centre shield plate effectively separates left and right channels, reducing electrical crosstalk to below 40dB. This level of crosstalk suppression is comparable to the actual crosstalk value found in the grooves of the record itself.
Preassembled With HS10 Headshell
The VM520EB cartridge comes pre-fitted onto a die-cast aluminium HS10 Headshell, compatible with 4-pin turntable arms for added convenience.
Elliptical Bonded Stylus
The elliptical diamond stylus follows groove modulation with greater precision compared to a conical stylus, resulting in improved frequency and phase responses while reducing distortion.
