Audio Technica AT-VM95EN/H Elliptical Nude Stereo Cartridge on AT-HS6 Headshell
The Audio-Technica AT-VM95E, the latest entry model elliptical cartridge, is set to replace the legendary AT95E while incorporating the advancements of the AT95EX introduced in 2015. With an improved and distinctive design, the AT-VM95E features a more rigid, low-resonance housing and two threaded inserts in the cartridge body, allowing for mounting to the headshell or an integral tonearm with just two screws, no nuts required.
Styli Compatibility
Every cartridge's diamond stylus wears down over time. Typically, a conical stylus lasts around 500 hours, an elliptical stylus about 300 hours, a microlinear stylus up to 1000 hours, and a Shibata stylus approximately 800 hours. However, the VM95 Series dual moving magnet cartridges offer extended lifespan by allowing easy replacement of the interchangeable stylus.
Now, instead of purchasing a complete cartridge when the diamond is worn out, users can simply buy a matching replacement stylus. Furthermore, users have the option to upgrade their cartridge with a different stylus, enhancing their listening experience. Since all six models of VM95 Series cartridges use the same electromagnetic engine body, each replacement stylus is perfectly compatible, providing added convenience and flexibility for users.
