English Electric is a subsidiary of The Chord Company who have been designing and manufacturing audio cables for over 30 years

The 8Switch is ground-up re-design of an 8 port network switch.
Each stage has been meticulously addressed to maximise performance.

The first point was the Crystal Clock, this governs data flow through the switch. EE imployed a clock that has an accuracy of 0.1PPM significantly better than
in a standard switch, the result of this is a measurable decrease in jitter of 90%!

So what can you expect to get when you install the switch ? Using careful signal paths and high-quality components English Electric has found that the noise floor of the audio signal is decreased. Noise in any system is a bad thing, so by lowering the noise floor you will be able to hear even the quietest instrument in the music offering you more and more details and definition.
It is powered by a TCXO (Temperature Compensation Crystal Oscillator) which has an accuracy of 0.1ppm which is considerably higher than would normally be found. This ensures that a more accurate and more stable music transmission.
This TCXO will help with Jitter. Jitter is where errors are delivered into the receiving product, the more errors the more error correction must be used, any correction of course does not replicate exactly the original audio signal.
Included in the box is a high quality Chord Streaming (Ethernet) cable - We are able to supply additional cables to complement your system.

Using a Medical grade power supply ensures that the 8Switch is able to offer the very best in audio performance.

We found that the noise floor was significantly lower and that there was an added sense of realism.
